Antibodies
Links
This is a brief list of other sites with data and/or software
relating to antibodies. For a more extensive list see Kevin Shreder's Antibody
Resource.
- Kabat Sequence Database
George Johnson and Tai Te Wu's interface to the Kabat Sequence
Data. Since they maintain the database, the data is likely to be more
up to date than Kabatman and covers other sequences of immunological
interest in addition to antibodies. However, the interface is geared
towards searching for data on individual antibodies rather than
KabatMan's more general approach. Access to the data requires
registration for which you need to pay. The raw data from 2000 are
available by
FTP in the US and mirrored in the
UK.
- IMGT
Database Marie-Paule LeFranc's Immunogenetics database at the
EBI. This is a database of nucleic acid sequence information on
immunoglobulins, T-cell receptors and MHC/HLA. There are two
interfaces, either via SRS, or their own hierachical retrieval
system. You can also obtain the raw data file. Currently (10Sep96)
there are 18265 entries, of which 7662 are extensively annotated. The
raw datafile is available by
FTP or you may access the
search software in France.
-
VBase Ian Tomlinson's database of human V region gene sequences.
-
ABG Juan Carlos Almagro's database of mouse V region gene sequences.
-
VBASE2 Ida Retter and Werner Mueller's database of human and mouse
immunoglobulin loci extracted from EMBL and Ensembl.
-
ABG: Directory of 3D structures of antibodies
A directory of information on 3D structures of antibodies publicly
available in the PDB from Juan Carlos Almagro at the Instituto de
Biotecnologia, UNAM in Mexico.
- Subim: Sophie Deret's software for analysing the Kabat
database and determining the variability subgroup for a novel
immunoglobulin sequence. The software is not accessible over the Web,
but is available by FTP and is described in the paper: Deret, S. et
al. (1995), CABIOS 11, 435-439. The program can be
downloaded from ftp://ftp.lmcp.jussieu.fr/pub/software/protein/subim/,
but with Sophie's permission, a web version is now accessible from our
sequence pages
-
The Antibody Resource Page Kevin Shreder's page of links to
antibody-related Web pages. This is a really extensive list of links
with lots of information for those involved with the wet biochemistry
of antibodies as well as sequence and structural analysis and modelling.
-
The Recombinant Antibody Page Stefan Duebel's introduction to recombinant
antibodies including some nice diagrams and useful links.
-
Humanization bY Design José Saldanha's page about antibody
humanization. An excellent introduction with a detailed discussion of
the science behind
humanizing and links to useful programs to aid in the
process. Also has a page of information on humanized antibodies and
search facilities.
-
Monoclonal antibodies with clinical indications IMGT's list of
antibodies in the clinic and in clinical trials.
- MSRS Antibody
Database A subscription database of over 125,000 primary
antibodies from over 600 sources all over the wold. Also included is a
company database of over 5000 companies who supply to the biotech
field.
- Biocompare
search tool Allows you to search for commercially available
antibodies with a given specificity.
- Molecular
Immunology An in-depth description of molecular immunology with
explanations and links to other immunology sites.
- AAAAA Annemarie
Honegger's antibody page. Lots of useful information, pictures,
sequence and structure data and information on antibody modelling.
- WAM Web
Antibody Modelling - A page from Tony Rees's group
from his time at Bath University that allows you to model an
antibody. This is based on the AbM package formally marketted by
Oxford Molecular and uses the CAMAL algorithm developed by me. This is
free for non-commercial use (but limited to 5 antibodies per month).
-
Covance - Covance is a commercial provider of antibody products
and custom antibodies
-
antibodies-online.com - A German commercial provider of antibodies
-
Mike Clark's pages - Includes pages on structure/function
relationships in antibodies and the story of the CAMPATH-1 humanization.
- HaptenDB
A database of haptens, carrier proteins and anti-hapten antibodies. (Mirror site).
