Antibodies
Software
- KabatMan is a database program for accessing the
computerised version of the Kabat sequence database maintained by
George Johnson and Tai Te Wu. It uses an SQL-like query language, the
exception being that clauses are joined in Reverse Polish Notation. One day, this
might be changed to ordinary infix notation, but it's not a priority
since RPN is straightforward once you get used to it. Click here for further information.
You may query the KabatMan database from the WWW
using a point and click interface or
using the KabatMan query language.
- AbM is Oxford Molecular
Ltd.'s antibody modelling package based on algorithms developed by
me and members of Tony Rees's group at Bath University as well as by
Bob Bruccoleri and Cyrus Chothia. N.B. This is a commercial package.
Unfortunately, since Oxford Molecular was taken over by Accelrys, AbM is no longer
available.
- WAM is an update to AbM from Whitelegg and Rees, accessible
over the web. The method is described in the paper Whitelegg and Rees
(2000), "WAM: an improved algorithm for modelling antibodies on the
Web", Protein Engineering 13, 819-824. Access to WAM is
free of charge for academics. Access WAM at http://antibody.bath.ac.uk/
Our other software is accessible from the Sequences page of this web site.
